Eboue Kouassi has revealed that he hopes to continue playing for Genk in the future after his loan spell, and a permanent move would be a very wise move for him.
According to the Daily Record, Kouassi has opened up about how his loan spell with the Belgian side was going until football across Europe was suspended until further notice, and he hopes to continue playing for the Belgian side in the future.
I have been focused on my loan at Genk and I hope to be able to play for them when this is over. I don’t want people thinking this hasn’t been a successful loan move just because I haven’t played too many games. I don’t see this as a failure…quite the opposite.
When I joined Genk, I was not physically ready, but once I got fit, the manager showed he had faith in me and played me as soon as he could.
So I don’t see it as a failed loan – I view it as a success.

A permanent exit for Kouassi this summer could be a wise move for both the midfielder and for Celtic. He has had a torrid time since making a £2.8 million move back in 2017, with his last appearance for the club coming in October 2018 due to a cruciate knee ligament injury.
Even when he returned from his spell on the sidelines earlier this season, he was still unable to break into the first team.
And with Ismaila Soro bolstering Celtic’s midfield options whilst Kouassi left on loan for Genk in January, his opportunities are likely to be even more limited in the future. Therefore, if Genk are willing to sign him permanently then that looks to be a wise move for both Celtic and Kouassi.
