Celtic’s players will return to training this week, as per a report from Sky Sports.
The Hoops intend to bring their players back to Lennoxtown on Thursday for the first time since the global health crisis prevented Neil Lennon’s squad from training together.
As it stands, the new Premiership season is set to get underway on August 1st, so the club will effectively begin their pre-season campaign this week, but they will only be able to train in small groups and they must follow strict social distancing measures.
The Scottish FA have given clubs the all-clear to begin training from Wednesday and Celtic, along with Ross County, will be the first clubs to return to their bases.
Rangers will start their training over the weekend, whilst the likes of Aberdeen, Dundee United and Motherwell intend to start their preparations next Monday.
Sky also report that Celtic have purchased a machine to test their players and staff for the virus in order to keep them all as safe as possible.

As Scotland begins to come out of lockdown, slowly but surely, it’s great to see that the Hoops will be able to start preparing for the new season later this week, albeit in rather different circumstances than usual.
The Celtic players have had a long time off, which could do them some good as they haven’t often had much of a break between seasons due to European commitments, so a break of around ten weeks might have been a good thing for some of the players.
With the players getting regular tests and with social distancing measures still in place, the players should, fingers crossed, be safe and well at Lennoxtown.
