Celtic target Alberth Elis has revealed that he is in talks about a possible move to Europe and that he is keen to make a move away from the MLS.
Celtic were interested in signing the 24-year-old last year but they had a £3million bid rejected by Houston Dynamo, much to the frustration of the player.
However, with his contract at the Texas-based side set to expire in December, the winger has revealed that he’s already held talks with a number of interesting European clubs about a possible transfer.
As reported by the Daily Record, he said:
My dream is to be able to go to Europe and this is my chance. This is a real opportunity and I think I will make the decision that I will leave Houston and give Europe a go. There are a few teams we are already talking to in Europe and Houston have also made me a contract offer, a very good one too.
Elis’ fellow countryman Countryman Emilio Izaguirre confirmed that The Hoops have an interest in his Honduran compatriot so it remains to be seen if Celtic decide to make another bid.

If the report from The Athletic’s Kieran Davis is to be believed, then Celtic’s summer recruitment policy will see them target players who they know well this summer.
Given that the Hoops made a bid for Elis, they’ve clearly done their homework on him as they were comfortable with offering £3m for his services.
The player is keen to move to Europe, so it looks like there is a deal to be done for the forward, of Neil Lennon is still looking to improve that part of his squad ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
