Celtic have been handed a massive boost in their quest to keep star striker Odsonne Edouard at the club with the news that Borussia Dortmund, one of the sides linked with a move for the striker, have pulled out of the race to sign him.
According to a report from Sport 1, via Sport Witness, Dortmund had been scouting the Celtic forward ahead of a possible summer move but they’ve now decided to focus their efforts on other potential targets instead.
Neil Lennon has made it clear that he wants to keep Edouard at The Hoops for at least another season and revealed that Celtic have been in talks with his agent about a possible contract extension.

The news of a major club pulling out of the race for Edouard is a boost as the player may well have fancied a move to a regular Champions League club like Dortmund.
With the chance to create history by winning a tenth-successive league title on the horizon, Celtic’s chances of winning the league once again will be dramatically improved if they keep their star striker and it looks like the possibility of doing just that are looking ever more likely.
