Celtic are in ‘advanced talks’ with Paris Saint-Germain about facing the French champions in a summer-friendly game, according to a report from L’Equipe, as cited by the Daily Record.
With the seasons in England, Italy and Spain all still ongoing, both clubs have been finding it difficult to find opponents to face during their offseasons, whilst the current travel restrictions and quarantine periods imposed by different European governments have hardly helped the clubs either.
With the French and Scottish seasons curtailed early due to the global health crisis, both Celtic and PSG are looking into getting themselves prepared for the next campaigns. PSG are also trying to get fit in order to play in the rearranged Champions League mini-knockout tournament which will take place in August and they’ll also feature in the French Cup final too.
L’Equipe claim that talks are ongoing to fly Celtic to Paris to face PSG in July.

Usually, a friendly game with PSG could generate a fair bit of cash from ticket sales, but that won’t be the case here.
However, Celtic will get a fee to play in the game, whilst they’ll also get to test themselves against one of the best teams in Europe as they gear up towards the new season, where they’ll be looking to win a tenth-straight league title.
This summer will be a difficult one for the Hoops as their plans have been hugely disrupted but Neil Lennon and his coaches will need to adapt and do all they can to get the squad ready to battle Rangers for the title once again.
