Celtic are one of the teams who’ve shown an interest in signing Club Brugge defender Lars Dendoncker, who happens to be the brother of Wolverhampton Wanderers star Leander Dendoncker.

However, according to a report from Goal, the Hoops, along with fellow interested parties Inter Milan, Roma and Wolves, are set to be disappointed as the young Belgian has decided to join Brighton & Hove Albion.

It looks like the teenage centre-back has agreed to make a switch to Brighton, which could be a blow for The Hoops as they look to put their squad together ahead of a push for a tenth-straight title.

However, Brighton do already have more than a few options at centre-back and they’ll get Ben White back from loan at Leeds too.

Given the players they have at their disposal, the Seagulls could choose to sign Dendoncker and send him out on loan and if that’s the case, the teenager could end up at Parkhead, albeit on a temporary basis and not a permanent one.
