Celtic could be set to receive a nice windfall thanks to the sell-on clause they secured when they sold striker Moussa Dembele to Lyon.

According to reports in France, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are all competing in a race to sign the 23-year-old and it looks like Lyon are ready to cash in, not only on him, but potentially on a few of his teammates too as they look to get their own finances in order.

While Celtic will only receive 10 per cent of the fee when Dembele does eventually leave Lyon, that amount could still be a significant boost for the Hoops when that time does come.

Say for instance he leaves for £40m, Celtic would receive £4m of that to potentially go straight into their transfer kitty for the summer, or to help the club cover the loss of earnings brought on by the global pandemic.
