Celtic goalkeeper Ross Doohan is close to agreeing a deal to sign Ross County on loan, according to a report from  The Daily Record.

The 22-year-old spent the last two seasons of his career out on loan at Ayr United but he’s now going to continue his development at a Premiership side as he closes in on a move to Victoria Park.

However, given that Scott Bain and Conor Hazard are the only two goalkeepers at Celtic at the moment, Doohan may have to wait until Celtic finalise a deal to secure a move to Ross County.

Given that Celtic are happy to let Doohan go out on loan, that could indicate that they’re confident of bringing in a new goalkeeper in the near future.

As for Doohan, a season at Ross County could do him the world of good as he continues his development into a potential Celtic first-team goalkeeper of the future.
