Leeds United are expected to complete the signing of Wigan Athletic forward Joe Gelhardt this week, beating Celtic to his signature.

We aren’t sure how much interest Celtic had in Gelhardt or if they were looking to make a bid for him, but if they were, then it looks like they’ve missed the boat.
Leeds recently secured promotion back to the Premier League and are an attractive option for plenty of players, including the teenager.
Celtic, given that they’ll be playing in Europe this season, are equally as attractive a destination as Leeds but it looks like they won’t get the chance to prove that to Gelhardt, as he seemingly has his heart set on a move to Yorkshire.
