Man City striker Lukas Nmecha on Celtic’s radar
Celtic are interested in a potential loan move for Manchester City’s Lukas Nmecha, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
Neil Lennon is still said to be interested in improving his current strike-force, despite the fact that his side hammered five past Hamilton in the opening game of the season.
Nmecha, a German U-21 international, has been prolific for all of the City youth sides, scoring 15 in 16 games for the U18s and hitting a very impressive 27 goals and four assists in 35 games for the U23s.
Nmecha spent last season on loan at Wolfsburg and Middlesbrough but failed to make an impact at either club, going the full season without scoring a single goal.
The German forward has made two league appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side and it remains to be seen whether Nmecha may have a future with the club.

At only 21-years-old, Nmecha is still finding his feet at the top level and will be hoping to put last season behind him.
He struggled to find the net for Wolfsburg and couldn’t string many runs of games together under Jonathan Woodgate, which hindered his performances for ‘Boro.
However, Middlesbrough were the lowest-scoring team in the Championship last season and if Nmecha was to join a free-scoring side like Celtic, then he may be able to find his goalscoring form again.
He clearly has talent, it may just take the right manager and club to get it out of him and a loan move at The Hoops may just be the best option for him.
