Celtic cruised past Icelandic champions RK Reykjavik as four players got their names on the scoresheet en route to a convincing 6-0 victory in the opening round of their UEFA Champions League qualifying campaign.

The Hoops dominated straight from the first whistle and were rewarded with a 3-0 scoreline at the halftime break after Mohamed Elyounoussi and Christopher Julien found their first goals of the new season as well as Odsonne Edouard taking the credit for a goal knocked in by the Reyjavik defence.

Celtic added three goals in the second half as Greg Taylor got his first goal for the Hoops and with Edouard and Elyounoussi adding their seconds to make it six before the night’s conclusion.

Tuesday’s largest Champions League win since the defeat of Waterford 7-0 in 1970 has booked another home Champions League qualifier next Wednesday.
