Social hints suggest Shane Duffy is on his way to Celtic

Rumours of Shane Duffy’s potential switch to Celtic have been ramped up after his brother, Tony Duffy, posted a Celtic crest on his Instagram story.

By itself not much to go off, Duffy’s support for the Hoops is not a secret, however, just moments before, Shane Duffy himself posted a picture from inside a plane looking out of the window with the caption “LET’S GO” to his own Instagram account.

The two combined have increased speculation amongst supporters with fans becoming very excited over the possible new signing.

Shane Duffy recently dismissed claims on Twitter he was close to agreeing on a switch to West Ham, and now appears to be moving closer to completing his switch to the Scottish champions.

The Brighton & Hove Albion defender has been widely linked with a move to Neil Lennon’s side, and now activity on both Duffy and his brother’s Instagram accounts suggests a move is close.

The 28-year-old currently has three years remaining of his contract with the south coast club, he also made 19 Premier League appearances in 2019/20, but now looks set to move on from the Amex Stadium.

Should the signs be right and Duffy is set to become Lennon’s squad newest arrival, Celtic supporters will be thrilled to gain a defender of such acclaim.
