Leicester City and Arsenal have been connected with a move for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard in a report by FourFourTwo.

The report claims that former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is interested in signing the striker as he continues to spend the money received through the sale of Ben Chilwell to Chelsea.

Whilst the Gunners’ new boss Mikel Arteta is also said to be keen on signing Edouard as he prepares for the potential departure of Alexandre Lacazaette.

Neil Lennon will almost certainly have anticipated interest in his most prized possession as the Irishman plans his way to 10 in a row, but the manager will be desperate to keep the 22-year-old as part of his squad.

The Frenchman has been prolific since arriving at Parkhead in 2018 on a permanent basis following his season-long loan deal in 2017/18.

Edouard has a remarkable 40 goals in 60 appearances for the Hoops since joining from PSG. Including 22 in the Scottish Premiership last term.

The Premier League interest comes as the French Under-21 international continues his goalscoring form, starting off the 2020/21 campaign with three goals in his first three matches.

Lennon and Celtic know they face a battle to keep their prolific marksman, both will demand top price if they are to let their man leave this summer.
