Man City reporter Simon Bajkowski has told Teeside Live, winger Patrick Roberts will be made available for loan this season.

The winger, who previously spent consecutive seasons at Parkhead, is expected to leave the Premier League club as they are willing to listen to offers.

Bajkowski said:

He’s (Roberts) not expected to be part of the first-team squad next season so if another team comes in with a loan or permanent offer then they will be listened to.

Roberts, who is now 23 years old, endeared himself to the Hoops fans during his time with the Scottish champions, scoring 18 times in 79 appearances.

However, the Englishman’s career has dipped somewhat since having struggled during loan spells st Girona, Norwich City, and most recently Middlesbrough.

In fact, Roberts only made 11 appearances across the entire of the 2019/20 season, a lowly return for someone of his ability.

After signing for Pep Guardiola’s side from Fulham in 2015 for £12m, Roberts’ best form has come as a Bhoy, perhaps a move back to Celtic Park can kickstart his career once more.

Neil Lennon is said to be on the lookout for a right-winger for his squad, a reunion with the England Under-20 international could be a perfect fit.
