Celtic have joined the race to sign Genk left-back Jere Uronen, according to a report from TMW.
The Hoops have made little secret of the fact that they’re in the market for a left-sided full-back after letting the disgraced Boli Bolingoli leave to join Turkish Super Lig club İstanbul Basaksehir on loan and it looks like Uronen is one of the players who they are targeting.
According to the report, there is also interest from clubs in Italy’s Serie A and Germany’s Bundesliga for the Finnish international, but Celtic’s interest is very much real too.

Given how hectic the current campaign could be for Celtic in the upcoming months, it’s not a shock to see that Lennon wants to replace Bolingoli as soon as he can as squad dept will be vital for The Hoops this season.
Uronen certainly fits the bill in terms of a quality addition to the squad so The Hoops should be acting quickly to get the deal done ahead of those German and Italian sides.
