Celtic fans looking forward to seeing Laxalt and Frimpong on either flank

Celtic look set to sign AC Milan left-back Diego Laxalt on Deadline Day, and some Hoops supporters are already looking forward to seeing the Uruguayan and Jeremie Frimpong on either flank at Celtic Park.

According to Sky Sports, the 27-year-old will undergo a medical in London with the Scottish champions ahead of sealing a season-long loan move, with discussions ongoing over the possibility of an option to make the deal permanent.

The report claims if an option-to-buy clause is struck between the two European giants, then a potential transfer fee would total around £9m.

If signed before tonight’s deadline, Laxalt will more than likely rival Greg Taylor for the starting left-wing-back spot under Neil Lennon, with young right-back Frimpong already nailing down his spot in the starting XI.
