Some Celtic fans keen for club to replace Neil Lennon with Eddie Howe

Celtic fell to a 2-0 Glasgow derby defeat on Saturday lunchtime, and some Hoops supporters are now open to the idea of Eddie Howe replacing Neil Lennon in the Parkhead dugout.

The Hoops failed to record a shot on target against Steven Gerrard’s side, with Connor Goldson scoring in both halves to stretch Rangers’ lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to four points.

The lacklustre display from the Hoops left many furious with Lennon, who waited until his side were 2-0 down before making any tactical or personnel changes.

One Celtic fan asked his followers who they’d want to realistically replace the Northern Irishman, should he leave the club, with many calling for Howe’s appointment.

Howe, 42, is still currently without a club after leaving Bournemouth in August. He took the Cherries from League Two to the Premier League in his second spell in charge of the club, after previously spending two stints on the South Coast as a player.
