Celtic fans react to club’s official financial tweet

Celtic released their financial results from the 2019/20 season on Monday.

The ongoing pandemic has had a huge impact on football, with Chairman Ian Bankier confirming the extent it’s played on a business perspective.

However, plenty of Hoops supporters only wanted to talk about the future of Neil Lennon after the club posted the annual results on Twitter. 

The Northern Irishman hasn’t enjoyed the best of months at Parkhead, with the club failing to win any of their last three matches in all competitions. 

Sunday’s hectic 3-3 draw at Aberdeen was the latest disappointment, which has left Celtic six points behind rivals Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

The Hoops’ group revenue has decreased by 15.8% on last year to £70.2m, a £13million loss from the season before. 

There were some positives though, including an increase in player sales, from £17.7million in the 2018/19 season to £24.2million over the last 12 months. 

However, when Celtic released the results on Monday evening, these Celtic fans just wanted to talk about Lennon…
