Celtic are reportedly eyeing up a pre-contract agreement for Charlton Athletic star Alfie Doughty in January.
The 20-year-old, who can play left-back and left midfield, has been a long-term target at Celtic Park.
However, Doughty suffered a serious hamstring injury last month against Oxford United, and it has now been revealed that the youngster could be out for up to four months as a result.

With Doughty now out until the New Year and possibly beyond, Charlton may be open to the idea of receiving a fee for the sidelined youngster’s services in January.
If that turns out to be the case, Celtic could get their long-term target sooner than expected and Doughty would have already played his last game at The Valley.
Doughty would bring plenty of versatility to Parkhead and could possibly be a solution for Neil Lennon on the left flank, especially with Diego Laxalt set to return to AC Milan at the end of the season.
