Four Celtic stars featured in Scotland’s Nations League defeat to Israel on Wednesday evening.
Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie and Leigh Griffiths all turned out under Steve Clarke, but it was Nir Bitton’s display for the hosts that had many Hoops fans talking.
The 29-year-old played in a back five during the League B clash, ending with a WhoScored rating of 7.44 – a score higher than any Scotland defender.
Bitton, who has been used mainly in defence under Neil Lennon this season, made three interceptions and three clearances.
He also made 60 passes during the 90 minutes – the most out of any home player.
These Celtic fans watched the game and were full of praise for the versatile star, with one desrcibing his ability on the ball as ‘brilliant’.

Bitton started alongside Kristoffer Ajer at the back against Motherwell prior to the international break, and following his impressive international display, he may well be in line to keep his place against Hibernian this weekend.
