Hatem Elhamed has featured in just 50 minutes of action in Celtic’s last five fixtures.

The 29-year-old played half an hour of the Hoops’ 4-1 defeat to Sparta Prague and featured in 20 minutes of the club’s 4-1 win over Motherwell prior to the international break.

And now, many Hoops fans want Neil Lennon to hand the defender a start in place of regular Jeremie Frimpong.

Frimpong was on the receiving end of a horrendous tackle at Fir Park, with scans, thankfully, revealing no serious issues for the right-back, only bruising on his knee.

The 19-year-old, who should be available for selection for Saturday’s clash with Hibernian, has featured in all 12 of the club’s Scottish Premiership fixtures this season, 10 of which have come as a starter (Transfermarkt).

However, when @Celtic1967_com shared their Easter Road starting XI, which included Frimpong, these fans wanted to see Elhamed come in for the teenager.

Should Lennon start Elhamed over Frimpong?
