Celtic have been linked with a January move for Peterborough United forward Siriki Dembele in recent days.

And several Celtic supporters have had their say on a potential deal on social media.

According to an exclusive report from TEAMtalk, the Hoops are ready to make their move for the 24-year-old in the New Year.

Dembele, older brother to current Celtic ace Karamoko, is out of contract with The Posh at the end of the season, meaning the Hoops can seal a pre-contract agreement over the coming months.

Karamoko, 17, also sees his deal expire at the end of the current campaign, with TEAMtalk suggesting securing Siriki’s services could help persuade Karamoko to commit his long-term future to Celtic Park.

Siriki has scored five goals and provided four assists this season, averaging a League One goal involvement every 103 minutes [Transfermarkt], with Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson labelling him as ‘destructive‘ earlier this year.

We shared the story on our Read Celtic Twitter and Facebook pages on Monday.

This is what these Hoops fans had to say regarding a potential deal.

Michael Hastings Senior: Peterborough never do deals with Celtic. Been in for God knows how many Peterborough players and nothing but problems trying to do deals. Never gonna happen.

Dave Coyle: Another striker to sit on the bench why get them in if you won’t play them hh

Jamie Hunter: Could convince Karamoko to sign a new deal

Michael Laing: Nae room on the bench for him all our other strikers sit there
