Celtic take on AC Milan on Thursday evening, in what is a dead rubber fixture for the Hoops, who are already eliminated from the Europa League with two games remaining.
However, with Neil Lennon under immense pressure, the San Siro clash may be of real significance in regards to his long-term Celtic future.
Dermot Desmond has chosen to stick by Lennon despite the club’s woeful run of form, a decision which wasn’t exactly welcomed by a section of the Hoops faithful.
The club’s majority shareholder is ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with Lennon due to the reaction from some fans after the League Cup defeat to Ross County on Sunday, according to the Daily Record.
The Daily Record also added when Desmond may cave and sack the manager, claiming the trip to Milan on Thursday is Lennon’s “one last chance”.

Many Celtic fans haven’t been afraid to voice their opinions on Lennon in recent months.
Several hit out at the Northern Irishman following the 2-2 draw with Hibernian, while thousands turned up at Parkhead after the recent defeat to Ross County.
Should the AC Milan clash be his one last chance as reported, it may come as welcome news to some supporters.
Celtic have a run of five vital league fixtures in December, four of which are at home.
They also have a Scottish Cup final against Hearts in the coming weeks, and a fresh change in the dugout could prove crucial in regards to turning around the club’s fortunes in the hunt for a 10th Scottish Premiership in a row.
