Diego Laxalt’s agent has recently admitted that the Celtic loanee has his eyes on a move to the Premier League next season.
And the latest update was quick to reach several Hoops supporters, who have had their say on the South American on social media.
The 27-year-old, who arrived at Parkhead on deadline day in a season-long loan deal from AC Milan, was left out of Neil Lennon’s starting line-up in Sunday’s historic shootout victory over Hearts.
Laxalt did feature at Hampden Park after replacing Greg Taylor late on, and according to his representative, Ariel Krasouski, has a wish to head south in the summer following his temporary stint in Glasgow.
Reports last month suggested that AC Milan placed a £4.5m price tag on his shoulders ahead of the winter window, however, it doesn’t look likely he will make his Celtic Park move a permanent one following Krasouski’s comments.
Diego’s wish is to play next season in England. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
We shared the update on our official Read Celtic Facebook page, which led to these Hoops fans giving their immediate thoughts on the news.
Ryan Kilmurray: Can’t blame him think we’re bad now wait til you see the rebuilding job in the summer
Christopher McGovern: 10/10 for effort etc. I prefer Taylor think he’s got better positional sense
Harry Fitzpatrick: Nope good start but fell away, poor
Paul Morgan: No good enough and further proof of the disastrous recruiting at the club right now. Lennon said that Celtic had been tracking him for months. Another lie!!
Philip Clarke: No wonder not getting start in cup final while few where shocking
Steve Scott: Better player when he arrived I think he’s been dragged down to our level since he came
Daniel Morgan: Came in look like a world-beater but like every player Lenny ‘coaches‘ has gone backwards and for me Taylor is more solid in defence
