Many Celtic fans hail Odsonne Edouard’s display against Hamilton
Celtic enjoyed a 3-0 win away to Hamilton on Boxing Day and Odsonne Edouard was praised by many Hoops supporters on social media for his “superb” performance.
The 22-year-old scored one goal and set up another, netting from the penalty spot early in the second half and teeing up Leigh Griffiths for Celtic’s second before the hour mark. Edouard could have had more goals and created numerous opportunities for teammates in what turned out to be a procession for Neil Lennon’s side
The Frenchman played for 76 minutes against Hamilton, had 53 touches, completed 79.4% of his 34 passes, created five chances, had five shots (two on target), made one tackle and had four successful dribbles. [WhoScored]
Edouard was outstanding against Hamilton in a redemptive display after he was criticised by many Hoops fans for an ineffective showing against Ross County in midweek. The 22-year-old has scored 10 goals and supplied three assists in 21 games but, prior to yesterday, had found the back of the net only once in the Scottish Premiership since September (Transfermarkt).
Odsonne Edouard man of the match today for @CelticFC
When he makes those killer passes he really hurts teams.#HAMCEL @ScotlandSky

Good win there, second half we were far better. Edouard and Griffiths brilliant. Think we need to be a bit better in midfield though, in spells, McGregor and Christie both poor in possession

Great to see Edouard linking up well.
Griffiths always a threat.
Soro & Turnbull excellent.
Defence looked better.
Frimpong good again, just needs the final ball.Would Ajer in midfield be a crazy idea?
All in all a very good 3 points today 😀💚🍀

Thought we were really good at times today, created more chances than we have for a while. Was probably Edouard's best performance of the season.

Comfortable win and a clean sheet. Could’ve been 6 or 7, five wins in a row now and hopefully another win vs Dundee United and we’ll go to Ibrox in good form. Edouard was superb today

In other news, Celtic are in the hunt for an England-based striker with a family member already at Parkhead.
