Celtic are reportedly showing an interest in Sparta Prague winger David Moberg Karlsson.

That’s according to Czech outlet iSport, cited by the Scottish Sun, who claim that the Hoops have been watching the 26-year-old closely.

Moberg Karlsson, formerly of Sunderland, started in both 4-1 Europa League victories over the Hoops in recent months, providing an assist in each win.

The report claims that the versatile attacker could be available for as little as £1.5m, with director Tomas Rosicky unlikely to stand in the way of a big club who comes in for his services in January.

Moberg Karlsson’s current Transfermarkt valuation stands at £1.53m, so the Hoops may well be able to save themselves £300,000 in a cut-price deal, should they meet the £1.5m fee recently reported.

He’s been a regular for Sparta Prague this season, making 16 appearances in all competitions.

Neil Lennon is keen to add to his wide ranks following James Forrest’s injury issues, so the club may well decide to firm up their interest in the Swede.

No

Moberg Karlsson recorded impressive WhoScored ratings of 7.77 and 7.20 against the Hoops, turning Shane Duffy inside out at Parkhead before helping make it 3-1.

Bright Osayi-Samuel has also been linked with a move to Parkhead, so it may well be a case of one or the other when it comes to wide additions this month.
