Celtic were held to a 0-0 draw against Livingston on Saturday afternoon.
The Hoops were once again without a number of first-team players, manager Neil Lennon and assistant John Kennedy.
However, they were all back from isolation on Monday and look set to be available against the same opposition on Wednesday.
Gavin Strachan was on the sideline against Hibernian and Livingston at Parkhead and had a number of experienced stars to watch over.
One of those was midfielder Tom Rogic, but we feel as if Lennon needs to axe the Australian for the away clash against the Lions.
The 28-year-old came in for criticism for his displays from several supporters last Monday and on the weekend, with one describing his Livingston performance as ‘disgraceful’.
Rogic turned out in an attacking midfield role against Hibs but failed to complete a key pass, making just 22 passes – the least from any outfield starter. [WhoScored]
He was then deployed in a centre-forward role five days later, but once again struggled.
Rogic made just 12 accurate passes all afternoon against Wednesday’s opponents and didn’t muster a single shot on goal, finishing with just 35 touches. [SofaScore]
He was replaced in both outings, and with plenty of senior stars returning from their isolation, we feel as if it could be a shrewd move to leave Rogic out of the midweek starting line-up.
Lennon will more than likely have plenty of attacking and midfield options available to come in for Rogic, who, as the stats appear to show, could do with a rest.
