Plenty of Celtic supporters have been reacting to an update on Neil Lennon’s Parkhead future.
According to the Daily Mail, cited by the Daily Record, the Hoops are willing to keep the Northern Irishman until the end of the season ahead of an overhaul of their football operations in the summer.
The report adds that chief executive Peter Lawwell was planning to give a ‘state-of-play’ update to supporters. However, that proposal has been put on hold after his apology over the trip to Dubai went down poorly with supporters.
The Hoops gave their full backing to Lennon and his backroom team at the beginning of December, admitting then that they would conduct a review in the New Year.
Celtic trailed leaders Rangers by 13 points at that moment in time but are now 20 points behind Steven Gerrard’s side.
The Daily Record shared the post on social media on Friday morning.
This is what these Hoops fans had to say to the update, with many not happy at the reported decision regarding the 49-year-old.
@fitzy_ge: It won’t surprise me in the slightest, laughable, these clowns are clueless…..
@weekev1888: This is just getting ridiculous now. A Club Like No Other indeed in the way that they will do very little with regards to communicating with the fans. I wonder how good the communication will be ramped up when it’s renewal time eh
@AJ__1987: In other words, we’ve got no plan B.
@90MinuteCynic: This season is an absolute waking nightmare.
