Celtic are ‘continuing’ to work on a summer deal for Wigan Atheltic striker Kyle Joseph.
That’s according to an exclusive report from Football Insider, who claim that despite their managerial vacancy, the Hoops are still looking to tie up deals for top young talent ahead of the summer window.
Joseph was approached by Celtic at the end of January, with his contract at the DW Stadium up at the end of June.
Celtic still have the chance to secure pre-contract terms with the 19-year-old, who has netted five League One goals in 14 appearances this season.

Premier League sides Arsenal, Sheffield United and Tottenham have all been linked with Joseph, however, Celtic hold the advantage due to cross-border rules.
The three interested English sides won’t be able to contact Joseph until the transfer window opens, whereas Celtic, as they have with Liam Shaw, can seal a deal now ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
A move for Joseph makes perfect sense to us. The Hoops may lose Odsonne Edouard this summer, while the likes of Patryk Klimala, Albian Ajeti and Leigh Griffiths have all struggled for a run in the side this season.
In our opinion, Joseph, a Scotland U19 international, could well be a long-term replacement for the latter of the three, with Griffiths’ Parkhead deal set to expire next year.
