Celtic may have dropped a subtle hint that confirms that Jack Hendry has left the club to join KV Oostende on a permanent deal.

For Scotland fans, today marks a monumental occasion that sees the national team return to a major international competition for the first time in over two decades.

In a further boost for Celtic fans, the Scotland squad is lined with numerous stars for the Bhoys.

Ryan Christie, David Turnbull and Greg Taylor are some notable names, though Jack Hendry is also officially still a Celtic player.

Hendry, once a peripheral option under Neil Lennon, spent the 2020/21 campaign enjoying a breakout season in Belgium with Oostende – something that attracted interest from a number of Premier League sides.

According to a previous report from 90min, Oostende activated a £2 million option-to-buy clause in the loan deal with the intent to sell on Hendry at a profit.

Whilst such a deal has not been formally confirmed by either club, Celtic did drop a viral video ahead of Scotland’s Euros return that notably excluded Hendry.

The video interviewed the Scotland Bhoys ahead of their opening clash with the Czech Republic, with no room for the Celtic loanee.
