A number of Celtic stars have been pictured returning to Lennoxtown, reporting in for the start of pre-season training ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

As shared on Twitter by Celtic fan account Everything Celtic (@aboutceltic), Albian Ajeti, Tom Rogic, Vasilis Barkas and Christopher Jullien were all spotted in their cars arriving to the training ground.

Players still on international duty are yet to return given their commitments to their country, but the first signs of the current squad igniting their preparations are there.

As for newly appointed manager Ange Postecoglou, the Greece-born boss is currently self-isolating in line with quarantine guidelines in Scotland.

However, that has not prevented Postecoglou from getting stuck in with first-team affairs.

He has already called Leigh Griffiths and has had a constructive conversation over the out-of-contract forward’s Parkhead future.

The 30-year-old has an option in his contract that means Celtic could look to extend his terms by a further 12 months.

Griffiths indicated the conversations were ‘positive’ and that he will have another discussion in person when Postecoglou completes his period of isolation.

With regards to those returning, Christopher Jullien draws particular attention.

The French defender suffered a serious injury knee injury against Dundee United that kept him out for the rest of the season.

He suffered significant swelling as he crashed into the post, and a return to Lennoxtown could be a welcome boost to Ange Postecoglou’s plans.
