Celtic may already be left rueing their transfer business amid news that Torino could offer KV Oostende a gargantuan profit on ex-Bhoy Jack Hendry.
Defensive outcast Hendry, who featured for Scotland at Euro 2020 on the international stage, was loaned out under Neil Lennon to Belgian side Oostende last season – with the club retaining an option to buy the Celtic loanee for a nominal fee.
Oostende activated that clause after an impressive season for the home-grown bulwark in June, and Hendry agreed a three-year deal.
According to the Daily Record, Celtic received just £1.5 million for the defender who is now valued at £3.15 million [Transfermarkt] – more than double the fee received by the Bhoys.
Separately, an update from popular Celtic fan page Everything Celtic (@aboutceltic) on Twitter shared reports that Torino are already looking at Hendry despite him only just joining Oostende from Celtic last month.

The Jupiler League outfit are reportedly aware there is significant interest in the Scot and intend to cash in on Hendry this summer for substantial profit.
Belgian sides OH Leuven, who have a close partnership with Leicester City, and Genk are also interested in Hendry who was one of the Belgian league’s standout players last season.

Torino’s interest is Celtic’s loss.
Premier League side Watford are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Torino centre-back Lyncao, causing the Turin-based side to turn to Hendry as a replacement.
A transfer that will be worth in excess of £7 million is now close, meaning Juventus’ local rivals have cash to spend.
As per 90min [via FotMob], it has been revealed that Hendry has a low release clause under £5 million and Celtic will undoubtedly have missed out on a greater share of potential earnings as a result.
