One Celtic fan account has drawn up a list of the Celtic players they would like to see cast out of the club.
Popular Celtic news and opinion account Everything Celtic (@aboutceltic) took to Twitter to share the list of players that were felt to be unwanted or unnecessary deadwood at the club.
Offering a succinct line of reasoning, the thread was started off with a simple caption outlining that many of the players are ‘deadwood or players who simply don’t fit in to Ange’s system’.
The list included a host of familiar names, including outcasted goalkeeper Vasilis Barkas – who has yet to start a game since the arrival of Joe Hart – and striker Albian Ajeti, who has deputised for new Bhoy Kyogo Furuhashi in recent weeks.
The list also included defensive presence Nir Bitton who the account feels has ‘reached his expiry date at the club’ as well as the club’s two senior left-backs in Boli Bolingoli and Greg Taylor.

On the surface, moving on redundant playing staff makes total sense in terms of raising funds and trimming wages from the club’s wage bill.
However, Celtic are only just recovering from a depth crisis that saw a number of key players ruled out with injury or other reasons for forced absences.
It certainly exposed elements of depth issues at the club with Celtic forced to rely on academy products such as Adam Montgomery to fill the gaps, even if that meant deploying youngsters away from their natural positions.
As much as some signings may have ran their course, it feels unwise to disregard so many so soon.
