Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou was full of praise for Carl Starfelt after the Hoops’ victory over Hearts
Starfelt made his return to the starting line-up against the Tynecastle side after being out of action for the club since October with a hamstring injury.

The centre-back turned in a solid display as the Bhoys won a big three points in the title race thanks to Kyogo’s goal.
Following the victory, Postecoglou lauded the Swede on a job well done for the Hoops.
He was great. He’s missed four or five weeks now, you know, he was coming along very well before he got injured. So it’s great to get him back in there, a very important part of our team, So hopefully now he can kick on from there.
Starfelt has been a regular for the Hoops since joining the club in the summer from Rubin Kazan. The defender has made 21 appearances in all competitions.
READ CELTIC VERDICT
Starfelt was rock solid for the Hoops in the game, shutting down any chances that Hearts had. The centre-back registered the most defensive clearances with five (WhoScored.Com) as the Bhoys battled their way to a big three points.
Perhaps what was most impressive about the display was that not only was Starfelt just back from injury, but that his regular defensive partner Cameron Carter-Vickers was absent. His partner against Hearts, Stephen Welsh, got injured during the game and had to be replaced by Nir Bitton.
Despite the upheaval in defensive personnel, Starfelt was rock solid for the team. He was one of the main reasons Celtic picked up the three points.
If he can keep up this level of form for the rest of the season, the £4m that Celtic reportedly spent on the 26-year-old will look like money well spent.
