Celtic will be facing former Hoops winger Aiden McGeady this season, as the veteran talent has returned to the Scottish game to sign for Hibernian.

Younger fans might not remember, but in the 2000s McGeady was not only one of Celtic’s best players, but also one of the best players in Scotland, as he helped the Hoops win a host of trophies.

McGeady was also fortunate to play for a Celtic team which made great strides in Europe, and he took part in some very memorable Champions League campaigns under the management of Gordon Strachan.

In a way the player was a victim of his own success, as at times it seemed that Celtic’s only tactic was ‘get the ball to McGeady’, but thankfully more often than not he was able to produce a bit of magic to help the Bhoys.

With the former Republic of Ireland international now back in the Scottish game, it is time to look back at his time at Celtic Park in a quiz on the player’s Hoops career.
