Daizen Maeda has been a key part of Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic side since joining the Hoops in the January transfer window.

The player, who is able to play both up-front and on the wing, is one of Postecoglou’s favourite players, as he has started most games for the Hoops since he joined the Bhoys.

Indeed, it should not be forgotten that he returned very quickly from international duty in February to come on as a substitute against Rangers, which shows how highly he is rated by the Celtic manager.

Maeda’s versatility has been very important for Celtic in his time at the club, as he has been able to contribute to the Hoops both up-front and on the wing, which is important for how the Celtic boss wants his team to play. The ability play in two different positions means that Maeda can be very useful to the Hoops if the team are dealing with injuries, for example.

Maeda might not have been at Celtic for long, but it in his short period at the club has has already shown what an important player he is.
