Celtic might have lost 3-0 to Real Madrid in their first Champions League group stage match of season 2022/23, but the Hoops battled hard in the game, and were unfortunate to an extent not to get a point from the match.

The Hoops missed some great chances in the fixture, and that is always going to cost you when you play a team like Real Madrid, who have excellent players all over the pitch and who can hurt a time like Celtic when they get the chance, which is exactly what Madrid did in the second-half of the game.

Still, there are positives that the Hoops can take from the match, especially from how the team performed in the first-half of the game. If Celtic can match the performance of the first-half in the rest of the group stages, then Celtic will pick up plenty of points against their other Champions League opponents, Shakhtar Donetsk and RB Leipzig.
