The international break is usually frustrating for fans of all football clubs, and it will be even more so for Celtic fans, as the Hoops support will be eager to see their club in action to make up for the loss to St Mirren in the last game before the international break.

Unfortunately the Hoops players and support will need to wait a while for the team to return to action, as a host of Celtic players will not be at the club over the next week, as they will be away on international duty. 13 Celtic players are off with their countries in what is the last international break before the World Cup starts in November.

The first-half of season 2022/23 will be a little stop-start in nature, as the Hoops will play 13 games in six weeks before the team take over a month off for the World Cup. Celtic will be playing two games in Australia in that time, but they will really amount to little more than friendlies you have to think.

Take a look at our slideshow which features the 13 Celtic players currently away on international duty, who will hopefully return to Celtic Park unscathed ahead of the match against Motherwell.
