Slideshow: Predicting the Celtic line-up to face RB Leipzig
Celtic go into this evening’s clash with RB Leipzig in the Champions League group stages knowing that avoiding defeat would make the Hoops well-placed to make progress in Europe.
A win in Leipzig would also be history making for Ange Postecoglou’s side, as the Hoops have never won in Germany in European competition. With the importance of the game, expect the Celtic boss to pick as strong a team as injuries will allow.
In goal, Joe Hart will start as usual, and he will be looking to improve on some of his recent performances for the side. The full-backs will be the usual pairing of Greg Taylor and Josip Juranovic.
In central defence, with Cameron Carter-Vickers still out, it will be Moritz Jenz and Stephen Welsh in defence, in what will be a massive test for the duo.
In midfield, Callum McGregor will start along with Reo Hatate, but we predict that Oliver Abildgaard will also start in midfield to offer protection to the defence.
Up-front, it will be Jota and Sead Haksabanovic on the wings, with Kyogo as the lone striker.
What do you think of the predicted Celtic line-up? Take a look at our slideshow then have your say in the comments below.
Hart
Juranovic Welsh Jenz Taylor
O’Riley McGregor Hatate
Maeda Kyogo Jota
… I’d be surprised if this isn’t the team.
I would go with this predicted line-up
Hart
Ralston Welsh Jenz Taylor
O’Riley McGregor Hatate
Haksabanovic Kyogo Jota
Juranovic is too slow and not a good enough defender
