The Celtic season of 2016/17 under manager Brendan Rodgers has to be considered as one of the greatest seasons in Hoops history.
The Bhoys not only won a first domestic treble since 2001, but the Hoops also completed an entire league season without losing a game, which is a remarkable bit of consistency.
The Hoops also had some great players at their peak in that season, as the likes of Scott Sinclair, Scott Brown, Moussa Dembele and Stuart Armstrong all turned in a number of great performances for the Bhoys, as the team swept all before them in Scotland, in a manner which hasn’t been seen before or since.
The way that Brendan Rodgers left Celtic means that his time as manager hasn’t been that fondly remembered as it should be, as he really was a good manager for the Hoops, who won a host of trophies for the club, and took Celtic to a level of performance which the club haven’t been able to reach since, although so far Ange Postecoglou has done a very good job as Celtic manager.
