Celtic have been linked with a number of players in the run-up to the January transfer window opening, and one of those players is Al-Ahly attacker Mohamed Magdy, also known as ‘Afsha’.
The player’s agent recently revealed that the Hoops were interested in signing the 26-year-old attacking midfielder, but teams in Saudi Arabia are also interested in purchasing the talent.
Celtic might have a lot of attacking players already at the club, but if Ange Postecoglou feels that Afsha can have an impact for the Hoops, then he should be signed for the Bhoys, as perhaps he could make an impact for Celtic in the Champions League in the future.
Celtic perhaps don’t need to sign another attacking midfielder, maybe the Hoops would be better off signing another striker, as at the moment the Bhoys only really have two in the current squad. However, if the Bhoys want to add another attacking midfielder to the squad, then hopefully he will be a good addition to the Celtic squad, as the Hoops look to improve for the second-half of the season and beyond.
Whilst we wait to find out if the Hoops are going to sign Afsha in the January transfer window, take a look at out slideshow featuring the numbers behind Afsha’s career so far.
