It’s a big well done to Celtic captain Callum McGregor, who made his 400th appearance for the Hoops in the recent 2-0 win over Dundee United.

The midfielder has been at the heart of many recent successes enjoyed by the Hoops, and he was the only choice to take over from Scott Brown as Celtic captain in 2021, and the move to the leadership role has worked out very well for the player, as last season he captained the Hoops to the Premiership title at the first time of asking.

McGregor has obviously learned a lot from former Hoops skipper Scott Brown, the man who preceded him as Celtic captain, as the players did feature together for the Hoops for years, and won a lot of trophies together.

The habit of winning trophies is one that McGregor has happily continued to have since taking over as Celtic captain, as he has won two so far as captain, and will be looking to add a few more this season.

In years to come, McGregor will undeniably be regarded as a Celtic legend, but there is still a lot for him to do at the club, as he is still just 29-years-old, he could captain the Hoops for years, and add more trophies to his list of honours.
