Celtic’s League Cup Final win over Rangers was a great day for all connected with the club. The Hoops won the League Cup for the 21st time in the club’s history, and Ange Postecoglou won his third trophy as Celtic manager.

All the Celtic players on the park contributed, but the real hero of the day was Japanese striker Kyogo, who scored both goals, meaning that he has scored four goals in two League Cup Finals as a Celtic player.

The two goals were finishes that the likes of Odsonne Edouard, Moussa Dembele or Gary Hooper would have been proud of, instinctive close range finishes which every striker loves.

We must mention the work of the midfield too, as both Aaron Mooy and Reo Hatate played their part in both of the goals scored by the Hoops on the day, vindicating Ange Postecoglou’s decision to bring Mooy back into the side after the Australian missed the recent game against Aberdeen thanks to injury.

Celtic won’t dwell on the cup win for long, as the Hoops are back in league action this weekend, but it is always good to celebrate winning any cup competition, especially when you beat your biggest rivals in the cup final to win the trophy.
