If we had a media that actually investigated the real problems in our game, chances are I’d have very little to write about.
I suppose, to a degree, the media provide me with a lot of my content.
Well, their lack of willingness to report on the real issues in our game gives me the opportunity to do what I do.
And that’s talk about what they won’t.
About 11 years ago, the bloggers were the ones who were out ahead of the media with the EBT story and what was to follow.
Which makes you wonder, is another storm brewing over at Ibrox and are we about to see another crisis ensue there?
The warning signs are there.

A lot of what’s happening right now points to trouble ahead.
There is still no sign of a set of accounts being released.
Why is there such a delay here?
It’s a tad coincidental that there was a share issue in conjunction with Douglas Park’s resignation.

Apparently, £1.93million was raised after the club issued 7.7million new shares at a price of 25p each.
Which is interesting, considering Kyle Fox in her apparent takeover bid, was willing to pay 40p per share.
Or was she really?
It doesn’t add up that the club would turn down an offer of 40p per share and then offer shares at 25p each only weeks later.
It would appear that Park was not leaving without a return on what he invested in the club over the last three years.
Yet we hear Beale stating this week that he has an unlimited transfer budget.

If he does, then surely it wouldn’t have been a stretch to pay Park what he felt he was owed, would it?
There’s a reason the accounts have been delayed.
If I was a betting man, I’d be willing to bet they’re a shit show.
It’s coming up to Season ticket sales time, and a set of accounts showing the club operating at a loss, despite accumulating £18.1million from making the Europa League final, and supposed player sales of £40million, will go down like a fart in a spacesuit with the Peepul.
And that’s putting it mildly.
There’s also the revenue made from the Champions League campaign.
You would think that all of this should add up to a healthy set of accounts?
So again, why the delay?
Well, if we had a functioning media, they would be asking that question, not me.
Could you imagine if there was a delay with Celtic’s accounts being released?
I can see the headlines screaming at me already:
Crisis at Parkhead as the Celtic board holds back on releasing club accounts
You know I’m not exaggerating.
So the next question you’ve got to ask is this:
If the accounts are going to be so bad, then where did all the revenue go?
More to the point, who did it go to?
We’re looking at a ball park figure here of £80million in extra revenue flowing into the club in 2022/23.
This is inclusive of CL revenue.
Only a limited amount was released for player purchases.
I’m no expert here, but my guess would be that all of the board members who ploughed their own personal money into the club on the “journey”, took back a good chunk of what they felt they were owed.
All of these “soft loans” were lent on favourable terms to the club, but on the basis they would eventually get them back.
It would appear that at the first sign of liquidity in 10 seasons, the board members who provided these soft loans, took advantage of that influx of revenue coming into the club and took back what they felt they were owed.
Now the club is back to square one.

Once again issuing confetti shares to keep the lights on.
And facing a possible humiliation from Ange Postecoglu and his superior playing squad on Saturday.
Something which was routine not so long ago.
It’s almost as if it’s all come full circle once again.
This does not auger well for the future.
This club is stuck in a vicious cycle.
Every time they make extra revenue, it will be plundered by those who feel it is rightfully theirs.
If they make extra revenue.
There’s a reason Park got out.
He knows if the club does not make the Champions League this season, they will be in serious trouble.
The chances of that, with a massive squad rebuild on the horizon, are substantially reduced.
Remember what happened to Ange Postecoglu when he was faced with the same task?
The media painted it as a catastrophe.
As we all know, it was the furthest thing from that.
But that’s because we are a financially stable, well run football club, with a solid and consistent player trading model.
The Ibrox club are none of the above.
They aspire to be Like us.
But they are not.
As long as they remain a financial black hole, they never will be.
The only way forward for them is austerity.
And austerity means falling further behind us.
Something they just cannot stomach or bear to think about.
So they will continue to self flagellate their club in a futile effort to stop us.
Eventually, they will once again, as before, flog themselves to death.

I will refer you to this article and direct you to my archives when it happens.
Mark my words, Jelly and Ice cream is just around the corner again.
You heard it here first.
Great article Eric, you’ve articulated a subject matter that’s been puzzling me for weeks, perfectly. Thanks for making the effort. Been supporting the Bhoys for over 60 years, Saturday shall be joyous. HH
Media up here are unbelievable. In the same week that everything you’ve described has happened all they’ve been interested in is trying to punt the best manager this country has seen since BR to jobs that he’s sick telling them he’s not interested in. Its always been thus. As long as we give if to them on Saturday they can start fantasizing about next season all they like, because fantasy is exactly what It’ll be. HH

I hope your right and their accounts have still not been released.
But according to FF,
They were released to the SFA today,in time for the UEFA deadline on Saturday.
Sevco still missed the SFA deadline of March 31st and we all know, the SFA will still sign off the relevant papers to UEFA.
The scum have been basically ran as an insolvent business since its existence, much the same as the old and original form of cheating scum.
Would agree that many who ploughed money into that endless pit of debt are running scared, even more so with uefa clamping down on clubs operating as insolvent with the introduction of the FSR.
Clubs like the scum are going to be hit hard and rightly so with the amount of debt they have been allowed to accumulate.
So the key word remains sustainability, which the scum can’t ever achieve with having to pay way over the odds just to get players into that shithole.
Can’t generate any income with having nothing worth selling and a kip of a stadium falling to pieces.
How can they turn around such a shitshow in financial terms?
Couldn’t care less as better suited to rot in hell where such scum belong
Time to get stuck in from kick off and score fkn goals.
I just bought 2 bottles of Champaign, one half time the other full time.
Who needs drugs, fkn great
Father in Law is a *Rangers fan. We bought him an engraved slab for his 80th fifteen months ago to be placed at Copeland Rd, still not delivered, apparent “supplier issues” and now they’ve changed suppliers. Apparently there are many hundreds still waiting even longer, still not got a date. Absolutely shocking.
The scum started the “no away fans fiasco ” now trying to claim we are benefiting from it , Douglas Park started this shit , now has jumped ship coz he knows sevco are and always be playing 2nd fiddle to the hoops !
Metropolitan police & Rangers bent twisted bastrds. Establishment , Crown , democratic House of Lords. Fkn drowning in reality.
Let’s get a bit of real life Saturday.
Fk their Hope
There’s only a huge financial if we make it so. The less they spend the less we spend. Peter lawwell ! And his financial crap cost us ten. Don’t do it again kill them off!!!
These guys sticking money in are no idiots, they are rich guys. So the are swapping loans to shares. There are nearly half a billion issued shares why are they paying 25p a share????. There must be something in it for them. Do they their money plus interested down the line??. Rich guys don’t throw their hard earned( I right) into a bottomless pit. A few might be true huns but most are money men who only love is more money. What is their end game???
In business your losses can be offset against profits. If you lose in one aspect of your investments you can adjust from your business profit.
Scam, that’s why fkrs buy loss making shares and wait till they go up.
Many more eye watering scams going on. Part of the Great Britain
It’s all done through tax scamming.
I would just like to jump to the defence of Douglas Park for a moment. As he resigned due to a serious medical procedure he is undergoing. He is having some of the skin removed from under his chin & is píssed off being referred to as ‘they’, ‘them’ pronouns!
I’m loving it can’t wait untill the shit hits the fan hh
