Dave King is back in the news again, spouting on about how the current Ibrox board did not capitalise on “#55” (#1) and Celtic being down and out.
Today, in the Daily Record, King reckons the Ibrox side squandered their advantage over Celtic after winning the title in 2021.
What advantage?
As far as I can see Covid-19 and Caffeine supplements were the only major advantages they had in 2020/21.
Empty stadiums took the pressure off delicate creatures like Tavpen and of course, don’t forget it was Michael Beale who masterminded it all, not Stevie G.
Any muppet could take advantage of a club shooting itself in the foot like Celtic did.
Any time things go pear shaped, you can always rely on King to come out of the woodwork.
He rattles on about what he would have done better.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this the guy who got the Cold Shoulder from the City of London?
Meaning no financial institute in the U.K. would do business with him?
A financial Pariah.
Who ran a loss making business with no access to credit facilities.
And he’s preaching to the current Ibrox board on how they should conduct their business?
Now don’t get me wrong, the current board is no great shakes either.
But this guy?
Of all people?
It’s actually laughable.
The Record says he’s re-igniting a bitter feud.

This guy just loves stirring the shit:
“Since #55 the board has squandered the advantage that we worked so hard to achieve – the current 12-point gap between Rangers and Celtic clearly suggests this – and has completely lost sight of the biggest stakeholder group in the club.
It is the supporters, not the directors, who should be prioritised. Hopefully, the removal of Douglas will allow the board to put supporters first once again. By doing so the board commit to ensuring there will be no repeat of this season.
Like most supporters and many shareholders, I am demoralised by the continuation of the Douglas Park led board. No sooner had the board rejected a fully-funded offer of new shares at 40p than they issued substantial shares to themselves at 25p.”
Yes, just like King put the supporters first by pocketing their money through Club 1872.
He must be delusional to think that the current board will be able to commit to ensuring there won’t be a repeat of this season.
Celtic are just going to get stronger, make more money and pull further and further away.
It’s clear with Ange Postecoglu in command, there will be no complacency.

No taking our foot off the gas.
And no falling asleep at the wheel like the old board and management did.
We spoke many times back then about pressing home our advantage, and leaving them in the distance for good.
We didn’t do that and that’s why they snuck in and snatched the ten from under our nose.
We won’t make the same mistake again.
Ange Postecoglu simply will not let it happen.
I’ll put it this way, if King feels demoralised now, he’s going to stay demoralised.
I wrote an article last week, where I pointed out that it seemed strange that the current Ibrox board would offer shares for 25p, when Kyle Fox submitted a fully funded offer of new shares at 40p.
King thinks it’s strange as well:
Twenty-five pence is the price that prevailed before #55, before the Europa League Final, and before the reemergence to Champions League Football. It massively undervalues our club and our recent achievements. I wonder how would the board react if supporters asked for a 40 per cent discount on next season’s ticket prices as an equivalent?
Massively undervalues our club and our recent achievements?
Funny how he still considers it his.
If only it were true.
I would give my right arm for King to be back in control over there.
Well, not quite my right arm, but I’d love to see it.
Comedy Club Sevco would be back, with the clown car full of clowns like before.

What’s even more comedic is that he expects the fans to demand a 40 per cent discount on next season’s ticket prices.
When in reality, they’ll probably be facing a 40% hike in prices.
Nothing beats an Ibrox shit show.
But throwing King into that shit show mix is pure comedy gold.
The Glib and Shameless liar just loves talking shite.
The banter years are well and truly back.
Listen to the guy that says he’s gonnae bring oldco ranjurs out of LIQUIDATION will someone in the media ask king if he’s still gonnae do it and the buy the titles off newco but what will he do with sevco if he brings oldco back to life thats 2 clubs playing at liebrox and the 2 of them couldn’t beat celtic so mr king away back tae were ever you came from ya clown.
Sitting here in the sunny Algarve, for some bizarre reason,I seem to have received a post from some obsessed Celtic fan platform, and for the life of me, cannot comprehend the obsession of your site with Rangers.
I have been a Rangers supporter (not fan!) for nigh on 65 years, and have many Celtic supporter friends of a similar vintage, and do not understand the modern “supporter” vitriol that seems to pervade the MODERN platforms 🤔
Get a life Guys🙏
Let’s agree to disagree!!
You the new chairman John?
