Keevins once again fails to address the real problem in Scottish football, and it isn’t Celtic

My article last Thursday described how the O** F*** label lumped Celtic in with every offence the Ibrox club commits.
Hugh Keevins clearly understands this, yet he chooses to ignore it.
In his article today in the Record, he had the perfect opportunity to be truthful about what happened in the aftermath of last weekend.
But he didn’t and that comes as no shock.
He chose, as every journalist in Scotland does, to hide gutlessly behind the collective that is the O** F***.
He could not bring himself to name just one club, it had to be both.
So, for posterity, let’s set both clubs apart, since neither Keevins, nor anybody else in the SMSM is willing to do so.
I will only use what has happened in the last year to form my argument.
Only one club has committed major offences since then, and that club is not Celtic.
Every journalist in the SMSM knows this, but does not have the balls to call it out.
It wasn’t an Ibrox physio that had a glass bottle broken across his head last April, nor was it in the Ibrox side’s goal mouth in which broken glass was thrown.
Celtic fans did not bring a myriad of weapons to a Glasgow Derby last January, clearly with the intention of causing grevious bodily harm.
Celtic fans did not rain bottles and cups containing urine down on Ibrox supporters either.
Nor did a Celtic coach headbutt an Ibrox coach at a recent ladies Glasgow Derby at Broadwood.
Celtic didn’t have 3 players sent off in a recent B team Glasgow Derby.
And finally, something that Hugh Keevins stunningly fails to recognise today, Celtic fans did not send hundreds of life threatening emails to last week’s match referee, Kevin Clancy.
No, apparently it was the O** F*** fans that did that.
Bollocks.
Because that’s what it is, complete and utter bollocks.
Why is Keevins so afraid to call this out for what it really is?
Anybody with a journalistic bone in their body would recognise that there is only one club in Scotland causing serious problems in our game, and that club plays out of Ibrox.
Yet this morning, all Keevins can talk about is the O** F*** and how both clubs have behaved.
In fact he goes so far as to say that hundreds of people contributed towards what Ian Maxwell said amounted to the referee’s (Kevin Clancy) “safety being compromised”.
Hundreds.
Yet he fails to mention who compromised his safety.
In effect, he is saying both sets of fans did, which is a blatant lie.
But that’s not the first blatant lie in this fiasco of an article, I’ll get to the other one later.
Upon reading this pile of bollocks in it’s entirety, one thing struck me.
When Keevins is putting an article like this together, how much time does he spend avoiding the truth of the matter?
In order to form his article, he has to actively think of how to avoid mentioning the Ibrox club as the real offenders here.
In effect, he has to think how he can best avoid telling the truth.
The one thing he swore to uphold when he became a journalist.
He is happy to write an article that proclaims he is a farce and he has to actively think of how to portray that.
His article today is the epitome of how poor the Scottish mainstream sports media is.
One club in Scotland is lawless, and we have a media which totally avoids calling this out.
We also have a title that consistently allows a journalist, Hugh Keevins, to write articles which are complete bullshit.
Keevins is a man who pays no attention to the truth, puts no research into his work, and it shows, when you read the tripe he has produced this morning.
His second blatant lie today is in relation to Celtic’s refusal to accept their ticket allocation for next month’s Glasgow Derby at Ibrox.
This paragraph sums it up and the fact that his lie arises from a lack of actually researching what he’s writing:
And the residual ill-feeling after Hampden will provide a backdrop to the final league derby at Ibrox after the split. That’s the one that will have no away fans because some supporters of both clubs have been found to pose a threat to safety and security by Celtic and R*****s.
Both clubs??
Seriously?
If Keevins had bothered to actually look into this, he would discover that Celtic refused their ticket allocation from Ibrox due to safety concerns for our fans.
The Ibrox side withdrew theirs, which was still on offer I might add, for no other reason than to save face.
If they accepted our offer of tickets for last week’s game, all it would have served to do was portray our ground as a safe destination, and theirs as the hell hole it is.
They refused our offer of tickets to take the heat off themselves, and once again make it look like this is an O** F*** issue, not an Ibrox issue.
In the last year, there is not one instance of anybody linked with Celtic displaying threatening behaviour towards anybody at Ibrox.
Not one.
Yet today, Hugh Keevins has the audacity to lump us in with that mob, yet again.
The headline to his article is shockingly inaccurate.
Once again, he chooses to shoot down the game he’s supposed to promote, rather than having the balls to call out the problem within it:

Here is my version of that:
Celtic and R*****S showpiece was turned into a shitshow because of the Ibrox club and it’s fans inability to accept an official giving a decision against them
Because that’s the truth.
Simple as.
All of the fallout in the aftermath of last weekend’s derby falls on the shoulders of one side, and that’s the Ibrox side.
Celtic, the club, our fans and our officials, neither did, nor said anything that could be considered controversial or life threatening, for that matter.
Finally, I will deal with the statement, because of Scottish football’s fatal fascination with anti-social behaviour.
That is an insult to Scottish football.
It is an insult to every other club in Scotland outside the Ibrox side.
Because only one club in Scotland behaves anti-socially.
What is more fascinating is the SFA’s inability to deal with the petulant child in Govan.
Even more fascinating than that, is the SMSM’s inability to call them out on their anti-social behaviour.
Your industry Hugh Keevins, facilitates their anti-social behaviour.
Because a functioning fourth estate would shine a light on it and call it out for what it is.
Instead, they gutlessly hide behind the O** F*** tag and label our game a shitshow.
When we all know there’s really only one shitshow in town.
Apologies, make that two.

I don’t understand why the Club don’t just refuse to have anything to do with both the so called journalist and the Daily Ranger
Firstly, the abuse and threats to the Clancy family are absolutely disgraceful and disgusting ! Secondly ,why would any decent Celtic fan want to send any kind of diabolical message after winning the preceding derby game . Any half moron would know that those types of menacing warnings would come from people whose clumpany lost the game ! Keevins by lumping previous incidents together is making an Alan Funt of himself and his employer ….

Why are people surprised by this. Rangers and the daily record ( rangers news) have been lying for years. Remember all the, nonsense about not cheating and no secret payments. The simple answer is don’t read the rangers news or participate in any phone ins. Lastly could sport scene get any more ex rangers players on there wage bill.

Ian Archer had it spot on all those years ago, when he said ” Rangers are a sometimes embarrassment and a permanent disgrace, I think the world would be a better place if Rangers did not exist ” that quote is decades old, and it’s still going on, they are playing Scottish Football for mugs, the authorities, media and other clubs are afraid of them and the Brotherhood.
It is time this was brought to an end. NOW!
My question is why is there no honest journalist in Scotland? Is it not more acceptable to say it as it is even if the truth highlights the evil that exists in Glasgow. Is it fear of losing their jobs.
