Todd Cantwell certainly knows how to mouth off.
And he certainly got the memo when he came through the door at Ibrox when it came to talking shite.
It seems he got that memo from his manager, who is the master of shite talk at the moment.
“Come to Ibrox and say what you want, nobody in the press here will call you out on it.”

One thing is for sure, you can definitely see the Ibrox manager’s influence in the way his players conduct themselves.
Contrast that to the way Ange Postecoglu’s conduct themselves through two words.
Respect and humility.
Add to that, very little talk about your main rivals and you can clearly see the influence Ange has on his players.
Over at Ibrox, it’s the polar opposite.
In today’s Record, Mark Pirie is trying to say Cantwell is playing down what he said a couple of weeks ago after the Glasgow Derby.
You know, where he said Celtic didn’t win the game, they instead lost it?

You can’t play something like that down.
It can’t be unsaid.
But he isn’t really trying to play it down.
Instead he just gave this wishy washy deflective answer when questioned about it:
Social media is an interesting place, you don’t say anything you are hiding and if you do people will then pull it apart. It doesn’t bother me. I’m really enjoying myself here and enjoy the responsibility that is on my shoulder at this club.
For starters, most smart players stay away from Social media.
Then again, smarts aren’t exactly a commodity that’s in abundance over at Ibrox.
The responsibility that is on my shoulder at this club?
Only on one shoulder?
Deceivingly strong man then.
And I’m guessing that responsibility is to be the latest mouthpiece for the club?
Since Fashion Sakala fell flat on his face carrying that mantle recently?
Yeah.
Yesterday, the Twitter feed of Celtic SC put up an interesting tweet:
£45k per week? https://t.co/FDw5DLLUBL
— Celtic SC ©®™ (@Celtic67Fins72) April 20, 2023
There isn’t even a Celtic player who earns that figure.
This would effectively make him the highest paid player in the Scottish Premiership.
No wonder he’s loving life in Scotland!

Value for money?
Well, we all saw what he was worth when it came to the crunch against Celtic, didn’t we.
The irony here is that Cantwell’s wages might be just be the straw the breaks the camel’s back when the next insolvency event comes around.
I wonder how happy he’ll be to bear that responsibility on his one very strong shoulder?
That there, is the epitome of the insanity that permeates the walls of Ibrox.
That figure alone shows you exactly why they’ve learned absolutely nothing from the events of 2012.
Then again, you only need to see that they’re losing more per annum than David Murray’s outfit did.
Todd Cantwell is the current mouthpiece for Ibrox and the Peepul love him.
Let’s see how much they love him when his ridiculous wage costs cripple their club.
Cantwell will be nowhere to be seen when that happens.
And he’ll steer well clear of the interesting place that is social media.
At least he knows he’ll probably be invited back to play for the third entity.
Just like McGregor, Davis and Lafferty were.
Nothing to see here.
Move along now.
Tick tock, Tick tock…..
45 grand a week for a £50m player is great value
You guys don,t know what your talking about
His nominal fee was under £200
thousand I believe so to get £45 large a week is madness !
You on the pipe again 45k my arse couldn’t get a game fur Norwich fs
Celtic SC is the most unreliable celtic source on the whole of twitter. Full of absolute gumf 24/7. So do not believe any of this at all
Watched Todd play a few times, and yes he didn,t
always get in the side,??you have Gers got yourself a good player all the best.
Who T F is Todd cantwell, not good enough to tie John Grieg ‘s boot lace. And I’ve got green and white flowing through my veins
Todd Cantwell is a luxury player a luxury most clubs can do without. He only produces against poor sides he’s done nothing of note except shoot his mouth off and when Celtic beat them next weekend we’ll soon shut him up. They’re a dreadful side and the fact they managed a draw against when we were robbed of a stonewall penalty, which Goldson only used the two hands to push away, and our squad had been riddled by a virus and they still couldn’t beat us shows how bad they are. I think you’re right as well Eric they’re in more bother financially than their support know and I’m convinced they’ll be liquidated again, the share issues are to keep the lights on and pay the players and staffs wages and I’ve heard rumour to expect another one this month. If they don’t get through the Champions League qualifier they’re gone again in my opinion HH
