Tom English is back out of hibernation.
He does this, where he tends to disappear for months on end and then re-appears, spouting complete and utter drivel about Celtic, all while picking childish fights with Celtic fans on social media.
It’s like he can’t help himself.
He starts to run his mouth off and then he just can’t stop.
It started with this statement on Twitter:
But while Celtic fans knock great fun out of mocking their city rivals, Rangers are stronger now than they ever were during Rodgers’ first stint’
Stronger now than they ever were?

Is English totally blind to the fact that the Ibrox side are undergoing a team rebuild after a mass player exodus at the end of the season just finished?
Is he aware that Beale is filling his squad with free transfers, from Championship journeymen, to a goalkeeper who has played just 10 times in the last 3 years?
Or does he just choose to turn a blind eye to these things?
Let me put a little perspective on the statement he made on the 19th of June.
In 2016, Brendan Rodgers inherited a Celtic squad which only a few weeks previously had been knocked out of the Scottish Cup semi-final by the Ibrox side.
That squad, was no where, and I mean no where even close to the level of the squad he has just inherited from Ange Postecoglu.
Rodgers didn’t bring in any major additions to the squad initially.

Moussa Dembele was signed on a £500k development fee from Fulham, he was pretty much an unknown quantity when he came in.
The only major money spent was £3.5 million on Scott Sinclair from Aston Villa.
Kolo Toure came in on a free from Liverpool along with Dorus de Vries from Nottingham Forest.
In reality, there were no real marquee signings made, but two of those signings would go on to have a huge impact in the 2016/17 season.
Scott Sinclair and Moussa Demebele’s goals drove Celtic on to an Invincible treble.
The point I’m making here, is that while Rodgers didn’t perform major surgery on the squad he inherited, he coached them to a level that was unstoppable.
His sides dished out regular hammerings to the Ibrox side, home and away.
Fast forward to today and he has inherited a top notch squad, in addition to a £30million transfer kitty, which will be taking on an Ibrox side that is in a state of flux.
Put it this way, if he was able to coach the Celtic squad he inherited in 2016 to the level he did then, can you imagine what he will do with the current squad?
This, you would imagine, is what Tom English should be aware of, if he possessed any decent understanding of the game.
Instead he is mouthing off about an Ibrox side that is “stronger now than they ever were”.

The below tweet shows the extent of his knowledge when it comes to football, or more to the point, the extent of his ignorance:

They are no stronger now.
Their squad is decimated.
They have no money to spend.
They have a rookie manager.
Beale has been a first team coach for less than a year.
Brendan Rodgers is a veteran with hundreds of games coached at the top level.
At this moment in time, it looks a complete mismatch, but hey, what do I know?
Tom English knows best, he is after all the Chief Sports Writer at BBC Scotland.
I’m just a lowly blogger who he has blocked from his twitter page.
I wonder why he did that?
Surely somebody as irrelevant as myself couldn’t have bothered him that much?
Then again, I’m sure @QuillersTommy has also now been blocked from his page for the below tweet:

That one got to him so much, he had to respond to it.
See what I mean by picking childish fights with Celtic fans on Social media?
It seems, however, that his childish antics and also comments he made on a recent podcast have contributed to getting his employers banned from attending Press conferences at Celtic Park.

This is not before time.
It would appear the hierarchy at Celtic Park are also aware of English’s penchant for shit stirring, along with his limited football intellect.
One wonders how his employers feel about his latest online antics?
English has made a habit of pretending to know what goes on inside Celtic Park.
When he clearly hasn’t got a clue.
How would he know Brendan Rodgers is livid because he didn’t get the Tottenham job?

Did English ever stop to consider that he didn’t want the Spurs job?
Rodgers did state he wanted to take a sabbatical from football for a year.
I’m also sure Rodgers was acutely aware of Daniel Levy’s habit of making manager’s spells at his club very short.
And then there’s the clash of ego’s….
The only reason he came back to Celtic instead of taking a year out, is because Michael Nicholson and Chris McKay made too compelling a case for him not to.
But hey, all I’m doing is speculating, just like Tom English.
However, I don’t work for a national broadcaster, so my speculation on my own website isn’t going to get me banned from Celtic Park.
English shoots his mouth off and doesn’t think about the consequences of that until it’s too late.
He needn’t worry though, his employers will be quite happy to retain him as an anti-Celtic mouthpiece, regardless of the consequences of what he says.
And regardless of the fact he has little or no footballing knowledge.
Because if he did, he’d know the signs for next season are ominous for Beale and his gumtree galacticos.
The Ibrox side may not be as weak as they were 7 years ago.
But Celtic are streets ahead of where they were in 2016.
You won’t hear that from Tom English though.
Nope, he’ll just be mouthing off on Twitter about how people are calling him “House Paddy”.
Sad.
What about butland hardly a game last 2 clubs but nothing said
Like Keevins, Nicholas, Walker etc, this fella is yet another bought and paid for Ibrox stooge. Thank feck I stopped paying the TV licence years ago.
Hail Hail.
Did The Rangers insist Tom English get the job of chief sports scoop at BBC Scotland as part of the reconcilement settlement between the two outfits ? The preceding incumbent was Chris McLaughlin , who caused the years of estrangement between the Rangers and BBC Scotland due to his criticism of the clumpany ..remember ! When the love -in was rekindled, wee Chris lost the gig and house Paddy took over ! It all seemed a bit suspicious at the time and if true it would all make sense regarding the anti Celtic diatribe from Irishman English ,here in Scotland …. That would be another the Rangers man at the helm !
Me too, I haven’t bought a tv licence since 2014
Why do you think BBC Scotland employed an Irish Republic journalist, who is very much Rugby Union orientated, as Chief Sports Writer, then let him loose to spew his nonsense about football, when he obviously knows very little about it?
Did the honchos at our national broadcaster adopt an ‘Anyone, Everyone’ approach to emulate their Govan favourites, but with the proviso that he should try to wind up our Club and support at every opportunity?
If I remember correctly there was another adopted Irishman who used to issue propaganda to the British during WW2.
William Joyce, alias Lord Haw-Haw, and it didn’t end that well for him either. HH🍀
Celtic fans are two faced hypocrites, FACT. Lets wait and see how Brenda does this season. A couple of bad results will see the Hypocrites up in arms.
Why do we bother , about what the
Vile rangers fans say about us .
They are jealous of all the banter and
Friends that now come and support us
At Parkhead , just keep the hied lads
And let the bums implode because of
The vile phrases , the best place is on
The football park.
Pots & Kettles?
You have to say “House Paddy” is up there with the best out doens ever, chapeau
@Billy Boy you know just because you type FACT in capital letters doesn’t make it a fact, right.
What is a FACT, for example, is that you and your mates let your club die in 2012.
Gumtree galcticos 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 brilliant
Billy boy why are you commenting on a Celtic site? Every time Eric puts a post out you’re on it like a fly round excrement. I understand you want to see what a trophy winning club are all about but you seem obsessed by this site, you’re a sad wee man who should be worrying at the state your tribute act club are in, you know the one that was created after the liquidation and subsequent death of Rangers 1872. The club you try to claim that survived, a blatant lie, and also brought about the victim lie, that you were somehow demoted unfairly, which we all know is bollocks as you spent money you didn’t have trying to emulate Celtic’s European Cup win of 1967 and you still didn’t win it so was it worth it? I’ve saw some of your support claim football wasn’t as good back then but we beat the champions of every country on the way to beat the two times back to back champions in Internazionale Milan. If it was so easy for us to win how come your club have never ever done it? So get back in your box and concentrate on your own club they need all the help they can get.
Billy bhoy I thought you were the peppul!!!!!!
What you doing on here anyway and whose WiFi you on????
Keep your friends close but your enemies closer that is the mantra. You are all two faced hypocrites so deal with it ya dimwits.
Billy bhoy, you’re an ass
I dont listen to BBC Hootsmon, watch their shitey Sevcoscene or read the Scottish Red tops
I get my Celtic news from many online outlets.
Hey Gazza,
Does it matter whose WIFI I am on. If this is meant to intimidate its not worked. Keep on trying.
Away and bile yer heid, Muppet. Like English, you know f all about football, Hows yer deid team doing? You get off noo and collect all those jeely jawers to get a loan player in???
What makes you so confident that Brenda rogered will be a success this time around, forget about 4 or 5 years ago? 30 million transfer budget on top of the 50 million Ange spent,if you ain’t winning everything in one of the weakest leagues in the world, then how do you justify that kind of m9ney being spent, and forget Europe your manager is a proven failure there, and that was with a huge huge huge budget in the best league in the world, all am saying is big money being spent for scottish dominance and that’s if your even successful next season
Let me guess, you support the new club? Bit of info for you Ange didn’t spend £50million. When you weigh outgoing player income against what he spent, its substantially less, more like £25-£30millon, which to rebuild an entire team is very small money. Michael Beale has made nothing out of player sales and he has a squad rebuild on his hands. That there is the difference between a good business and a bad business. Celtic will always have saleable assets, the Ibrox club won’t.
Hey George,
Think youve been reading to much of OOR Wullie books.
Couldn’t have put it any better. Tom has a very limited knowledge of football, and an unhealthy chip on his shoulder when it comes to Celtic and their fans. Always coming out with derogatory snide comments. The club should keep him out of Celtic Park the same way that they have banned the rangers fans. He’s an absolute clown.
