There doesn’t seem to be a day that goes by now where that bum fodder rag, The Sun, isn’t trying to implicate Celtic or it’s supporters in something controversial.
Yesterday, they took up the baton on the ridiculous Nicolas Kuhn story that surfaced on Radio Clyde on Monday evening.
You know?
The one where they got an “Austrian Bundesliga expert” onto the show to tell us all how brutal Nicolas Kuhn is.

The Sun couldn’t resist running with an article on this yesterday, in an attempt to trash the player’s reputation before he ever kicked a ball in Scotland.
Last week, they were trying to implicate a Celtic supporter in an incident where Kyle Lafferty was supposedly abused in a “sectarian” way.
I did an article on this, and there wasn’t even any proof that the individual involved was actually a Celtic supporter.
The Sun seems to forget that hatred for the Ibrox side isn’t just reserved for Celtic supporters, there are plenty of other clubs out there who dislike them intensely also.
But, just like I said, they’ll do anything to try and link Celtic to something controversial.
Today, they’re at it again.
Last night, I received a video from a Celtic supporting mate of mine, it was about the Green Brigade.
I was impressed with it’s content, but unaware at the time where it actually came from.
Today, I’ve found out exactly where it came from.
The Sun was more than happy to inform us in their article on it.
It was a report on Iranian tv, on their government owned Press TV.
Here’s the headline on that article:
FANS’ TV SHOCKER
Green Brigade spotted on IRANIAN STATE TV as Celtic ultras’ support of Palestine put into focus
Shocker??
Who’s shocked?
I’m not seeing an outpouring of shock and horror from very many in relation to this.
However, it’s not so much the headline, but the language used in the article itself that is very much aimed at linking Celtic and the Green Brigade to a “Terrorist organisation”.

People’s perceptions of Hamas as a terrorist group are debatable, to say the least.
It’s clearly evident that the world’s eyes are starting to open to who the real terrorist organisation is.
Nonetheless, The Sun had to remind us of the U.K.’s view of Hamas:
Banners were unfurled at the Hoops’ win over Kilmarnock on October 7, reading “Free Palestine” and “Victory to the Resistance.”
They appeared just hours after Hamas, proscribed as a terrorist organisation by the UK government, launched an unexpected attack on Israel that left more than 1,000 people dead.
Of course there is no mention of the 24,100 now dead in Gaza.
Two thirds of which were women and children.
That, of course, is irrelevant, and doesn’t need mentioning.
We are then treated to a description of the stand off between the Green Brigade and the club.
Finally, the article is at pains to point out how Pro-Palestinian the Green Brigade is:
And now their pro-Palestine position has been highlighted in IRAN. The conflict in Gaza rages on amid an ongoing proxy conflict between Iran and Israel. State-owned Press TV is the only channel legally able to broadcast in the country.
It features a programme named ‘Palestine Declassified,’ which is fronted by former Labour MP Chris Williamson. Three three-minute package, fronted by UK journalist Amina Taylor, goes on to explain the Green Brigade’s support of Palestine dating back to 2006.
It also goes through their roots among the Irish immigrant population in Glasgow. The video discusses the dispute with the board, as well as Uefa’s fines that have been laid down as a result of pro-Palestinian displays.
Of course, in the eyes of a paper like The Sun, links with Iran are to be frowned upon.
Whether you agree with the policies of Iran or not, they don’t have an issue with speaking the truth about what’s going on in Gaza.
Which many UK outlets refuse to do.
Clearly highlighted by the emphasis on the deaths in Israel in the article I’m discussing, while there was no emphasis on the suffering, and deaths in Gaza.
As the video points out, the Green Brigade’s support for Palestine has been ongoing since 2006, almost 20 years.

This is nothing new.
Celtic as a club, has always been a champion of the oppressed.
That stance may have changed within the club’s hierarchy.
But it will never change within the club’s support.
Whether the Sun realises it or not, their article on this video has only served to boost the profile of the GB.
The very group they were trying to tarnish with it.
On that score, they’ve failed miserably.
There’s big a journalist amin them , nowadays journos are nothing more than lackies for whoever is in government, bottom feeding vermin , they will never get over Lizzie liquidating their favour club 😂😂😂good aul lizzie
Badge of honour tbh, history will show who the terrorists were. I know who has murdered literally millions of innocents world wide, and its not Hamas. I also know who has been commiting atrocities regualarly for 75 years and slaughtering tens of thousands of children lately, again , not Hamas.
Not like these people would ever give us credit for anything, they are clearly not our friends. Beneath contempt.
Good article.
Another distraction from the ongoing genocide in Gaza, co-sponsored by the US & UK. 31,000 Palestinians massacred, including 12,000 children & 60,000 injured (Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor). The apartheid state of Israel is committing the “crime of all crimes.” The Green Brigade & all those speaking out are on the right side of history. There are no excuses, it’s live-streamed. We know….
Fake news from a fake newspaper why anyone reads this ambulance chasing rag is beyond me after it’s treatment of the Liverpool 96 I cannot believe people still buy it,shame on them.Obviously the vermin who do still buy it are imperial scum with no backbone or brain little englander wannabes how sad.
