Celtic’s players should be “instructed to walk off the pitch at Ibrox” if Beaton turns Sunday’s derby into a farce

Plenty has been written about it already today, but the appointment of John Beaton as referee for next Sunday’s derby at Ibrox comes as no shock.
I predicted it on Friday in the article I published then, and I think we all knew it was inevitable.
Last Thursday’s hearing at SFA headquarters clearly achieved nothing.
The SFA were always going to circle the wagons in it’s aftermath, and this referee selection is proof positive of that.
Crawford Allan is showing us all he’s going out with a bang.
And then some.
So, we got Don Robertson last Sunday, and we’re getting Beaton next Sunday.
The two very officials that Brendan Rodgers called out as incompetent.
I mean, if that’s not giving you the two fingers, I don’t know what is.
Basically, the SFA are saying if you state our officials are incompetent, then we’ll just ram them down your throat.
And that’s exactly what they’ve done.
Beaton is without doubt, the most biased, corrupt official in Scotland.
He does not even hide where his allegiances lie.
He will do everything in his power to attempt to destroy next Sunday’s critical clash as a contest.
In favour of the Ibrox side, of course.
Just as he did at Hearts.
No VAR is going to overrule his decisions either.
He will disrupt play as much as possible.
Penalising Celtic at every opportunity, while letting everything go for the other side.
Nick Walsh, as VAR, might be our only hope in this clash, since he seems to be the only really consistent official in Scotland at the moment.
This isn’t me being a conspiracy theorist, this is me just stating facts.
Because that’s what Beaton does.
I’d suggest going to the bookies now to play penalty Bingo for this one, it may be the only win you’ll have next weekend.
That is, of course, if Beaton gets his way.
Put simply, the Ibrox side will have a man advantage next Sunday.
We will playing against 12 men.
And if we hope to take anything from this contest, we will need to be at the peak of our powers.
We will need Brendan Rodgers to be more tactically astute than he’s ever been.
This week in training, Rodgers should continuously get the players to train in scenarios where they are down to ten men, or even nine men.
In fact, he will need to show them the masterclass he pulled off at Ibrox this time 6 years ago.
When we pulled off a 3-2 victory after being reduced to 10 men.
Again, and again.
Every possible scenario needs to be examined with Beaton as the man in the middle.
Joe Hart needs to spend the week practicing saving penalties against the squad’s most accurate penalty takers.
This is the unfortunate reality of Scottish football, and the reality when it comes to officiating in our game.
We have to do things most normal sides in football would never have to do.
We have to think about things most normal sides in football would never have to think about.
But we have to think our hardest when we come up against John Beaton.
See what I said there?
Come up against John Beaton.
No team should have to come up against any referee.
But we do.
There is a lot of sentiment out there that Celtic should react to today’s announcement in the most robust terms possible.
Good luck with that one, I say.
Look how well we came out of Thursday’s hearing.
Rodgers still got a 2 match ban.
We got Robertson for the Livingston game.
We had a stonewall penalty denied us on Sunday.
Now, we get Beaton for the most critical game of the season.
Our enemies are in plain sight, they don’t even hide it.
They are determined to ensure we do not win this title.
We must ensure we do.
But if you want my honest opinion, for what it’s worth, here it is.
I know this will never happen, but if the game on Sunday descends into farce under Beaton, Brendan Rodgers should instruct his players to walk off the pitch.
And to hell with the repercussions.
If blatant cheating is on display, and we all know what that identifies as, then the players should walk off.
The reverberations and shock waves something like that would cause for the SFA would be catastrophic.
It would tear the mask off, and reveal to the world how corrupt and bent the game in this country is.
It would attract attention from media outlets outside Scotland.
The kind of attention the SFA would be terrified of.
But like I said, it’s highly unlikely this would ever happen.
Having said that, if there was ever a country where it should, it’s Scotland.
The reality is, the odds are now stacked against us for Sunday.
The Ibrox hordes reacted with glee to today’s announcement.
They think they’ve got this one all sown up.
Put simply, if we beat them, which is not beyond us, it will deal a devastating blow to their title aspirations.
It’s what we need to on the day.
But by God do we need to be on our game next Sunday.
Anything less doesn’t bear thinking about.

No surprise. Why are Celtic not at least msking some comment on it. Saying nothings is why they carry on in plain sight.
We will never get anywhere with a spineless board of muppets that run us, there has been no comment about Brendan’s hearing from our lot and now the corrupt establishment are ramming it done our throat by putting Beaton in charge.
We will never walk off, unless of course there was racist/sectarian songs.
As for the upcoming cheatathon, if, as was reported, DD had a forensic report apropos Sevco getting many “honest mistakes” over the course of Crawford Allen’s time in charge of refereeing, then NOW is the time to publish and NOT Sunday if we lose via yet another dishonest decision.That would look like sour grapes.
The Celtic board are worse than the SFA for accepting this decision. Celtic should have taken the SFA to the cleaner’s and demanded that Crawford Allan be removed immediately after losing the audio from the Hearts game.
I agree , of course we should walk off it is the last thing we have to stand up to them . Withdrawl of our involvement. It is clear the contempt and yet casual way the sfa have dealt with us over the hearts game and all my life for that matter .It could be worth forfeiting the points and whatever else to bring this to the wider footballing community. What a stand it would be to force them into the light. The sfa like all these cheats like to hide in the shadows. Bring some light to their behaviour and if we need to move away so be it.
Walsh is every bit as much a biased hun as Beaton. Don’t be surprised if we end up with 9 men on the park with those 2. IMO Collum as 4th official is a better bet than any of them . He is hated at bigotdome and they aren’t his fav club either.
Collum is one of us and THAT is why he is only fourth official and not on VAR. How good would it be if Beaton stumbled and injured himself with Collum having to replace him???
If the board continues to sit on their hands and do nothing then at the end of the season they should all be removed from their positions, if that does not happen then we fans should not renew our season tickets until Desmond and his bunch of clowns are removed not one of them has a spin.

Foreign refs should be brought in for these games.There is too much allegiance to one club and far too much at stake to be talking about officials rather than the game itself.
Seems when celtic talk out against officials the powers that be don’t like it but when sevco talk out it’s ok.
Even if they do win the league it’ll be yet another disaster in Europe. With the money Celtic have access to, they should be competing at the highest level. The Board and Manager should be hanging their heads in shame at past performances.
Sounds to me like you’re preparing yourself an excuse for losing already. You’re happy enough with the decision to allow Brendon back in the dug out ? And how did you manage all those treble trebles with such bias refereeing? Here’s hoping Rangers wipe the floor with you come Sunday’s Old Firm.
Another level of embarrassment this article and the comments to go with it. Would we be even having this discussion if Celtic were still clear as was the case the first half of the season?

It’s funny how Kevin Clancy never gets a mention when it comes to the Glasgow derby? Don’t think he’s been in charge of any major games since that Aberdeen/Sevco game at Pittodrie when Scott Brown ruled the roost and there were a couple of sending offs for them.

People are dieing all over the world,people are struggling to pay bills,war is going on over parts of the world and we are complaining about referees.
Never mind the upcoming game against Beaton & Co, Celtic should have walked last week against Livi and the blatant penalty denial. Not even checking VAR is in your face cheating. I hold my club responsible in all of this for not displaying a VERY strong stance. Acceptance is compliance, compliance is complicit. What will it take, Celtic? A mass boycot of season tickets until Yous do something about it?
Celtic have been playing against 12 men every week Jock Stein was right in the sixties before a match he would remind the team they are playing against 12 men not eleven. It will never change unless Celtic stand up and be counted.

Both boards know there would be no football in Scotland if one or the other walked off.they are in it for the money . ..the fans of both teams need to know that they are being played and divided over bigotry that’s what’s causing the hatred in the west of Scotland..lower league teams don’t have this problem. Refuse to play the game unless a referee change happens. Surely we can complain to UEFA or something.
I have never read such paranoid bleating ever. It’s alright apparently to make Collum the referee, because, as one comment says ‘he’s one of us’. And you wonder why we have a problem in Scotland. It’s probably true to say that every referee has a favourite, but that doesn’t equate to automatically giving decisions to a club, and decisions against the other. I haven’t named the 2 clubs, you know who I’m meaning. Get on with the game on Sunday, and hopefully the better team wins.
Sevco are so desperate to win this title that they have compromised the SFA to allow blatant cheating.

Helen (Swan), this is about blatant cheating and rigging. To try and categorise it as sectarian or whatever is ignorant. Yes, the points you make are likely motivations, but this is about stamping out BLATANT cheating in our game. And in particular against our club. We all know what the motivations are, we’re well beyond that point. Celtic encouraged this when they played a pivotal roll in agreeing to the liquidated mob keeping trophies & titles. The SFA are corrupt and always have been. The sewer needs flushed out with a sea of bleach.

Beaton wasn’t the ref against Hearts in a match with a wrong penalty for both sides and a correct sending off, “a clear red card” as Rodgers said of a similar prior incident. You forget about the wrongly disallowed Rangers goal against Celtic and the officials not looking at a Celtic player punching the ball out the penalty box as it could be a second yellow and a penalty although they didn’t know at the time it was offside.
If ever the time was right for our board to speak out about this shocking display of “up yours” aimed at celtic, now is it.
But our board has stayed silent for over a decade in the sevco era, even longer when it was oldco playing.
It’s time our board grew a pair and stood up to the blatant cheating that goes on in Scottish football, 2 clubs have massively different outcomes here, one club is favoured way above every other club and that’s sevco, the other club suffers the most no matter what club they face, celtic suffer at the hands of the biased corrupt officials employed by the SFA.
Teams are allowed to kick our players all over the park, shocking heavy or late challenges go unpunished from the refs, if those players do get penalised it’s usually late on in games, this leaves little time left to put them under pressure of picking up second yellow cards and being sent off, or as soon as they get that yellow card they are taken off and replaced.
Teams are allowed to slow play down, waste time that never gets added on, goalkeepers take for ages to take bye kicks, they never get shown yellow cards that then stops their time wasting tactics.
Then when the 90 mins are up sometimes only a few mins are added on, this happens most if we are well ahead in games, refs are known to say this saves those teams from being humiliated on the park, but it stops us from racking up a good goal advantage that might be needed un a tight race, refs shouldn’t be allowed to stop us from scoring as many goals as we can, it’s not upto them to save other teams blushes.
Come Sunday Beaton us going to disrupt play as much as he can, stop us from a free flowing game which we are renowned for, he will break up play by giving as many fouls as he can, it’s strange when we are the team with the vast majority of possession of the ball, the team with the fewest tackles being made, but in most games we end up with the most yellow cards, not because of bad tackles, but because by booking our players early, especially our midfield or defenders, then it puts them under more pressure to limit the amount of tackles they can make after being booked in fear of picking up another booking, that happens and they are sent off.
This is the complete opposite to what I mentioned earlier, teams players are allowed to make many tackles of which some are really heavy or intentionally but they don’t get any bookings or if they do they are really late in a game say around the 80th min, so less chance of getting sent off, this is just some ways refs can unfairly influence games and put us under more pressure.
If we are only winning by tge odd goal, you’ll see refs add on a lot more mins at the end, given the other team more time to find an equaliser, but if we are a goal down no such favours are given to us, time gets called much quicker.
All these things mentioned go against our club but favour all our teams we face, in doing all those things that can hurt us during the season, those things can help our main and usually only rivals..sevco.
This season has seen a huge rise in tgem being given penalties that were never penalties, these happen in games where they have been really struggling to break teams down, or they are behind going into the last cpl of mins, that’s when you see the majority of their most dodgiest penalties being awarded to them, and as always they do not concede those same kind of penalties to other teams.
This year is massive to sevco, especially where it means entry straight into CL groups with a big increase in prize money.
That’s money they so desperately need, if we win this year’s title and they fail to qualify for CL, then there’s a big chance they could go bust, they will post another big loss, that will be every single year of posting big losses.
Their directors have said they will stop giving out big loans that are repaid via confetti money, shares that are worthless, worthless because there have been countless millions being sold every single year to them, think about that, if sevco have made £120m in losses, all those loans that keep the lights on over there, wages being paid, but those loans are never paid back in cash, no they get shares to the equivalent amount they gave in loans, hence the name “confetti money” shares being thrown about like all that confetti at weddings.
Sevco need loans from the like of the Close brothers as no bank will give them loans or overdrafts facilities, so huge interest has to get paid on the loans from Close brothers, but also those loans are secured by giving them albion road car park (sure that’s right name or could be copeland Rd car park, but it’s the big one right outside ipoxy) so if they fail to repay that loan then they lose that huge part of their legacy.
That’s why this year is so viral to their survival, thus even more shocking decisions being handed out from the likes of Beaton, we haven’t helped ourselves from surrendering a 7 point lead to now being behind by 2 points, so these remaining games especially the ones against them are massive, they will be vital as to who wins this year’s title, and more importantly gaining straight access to the CL and the riches gained from doing so.
Paul Walker, i made a similar point in a letter to Brendon Rogers regarding the blatant penalty denial v Livi. And how John Kennedy should nor have been dismissing that issue on the BBC Sunday night highlights show, just because we won. EVERY goal in every game matters and we should not just be complaining when we fail to take all 3 points. We should be making a stance EVERY time it happens. Scottish Football also needs to put an end to part-time hobbiests officiating professional matches. This is the careers of professionals that these incompetents are toying with. Making officials go full-time professionals will not in itself resolve the problem but it will be a major step in the right direction. This move would also have to carry serious consequences for major “blunders” such as demotion to lower levels of officiating and termination of employment. Part-time amateurs should never be making major decisions in a professional level of sport, EVER.
I think the Celtic fans have taken it too far.

The above was taken from an interview between the BBC and Scottish footballs Crawford Allan before he became the SFA’s refereeing chief back in June 2017.
Maybe Allan needs to read that bit again, the bit about multi-angled television replays etc. And then ask his cheats in the VAR room what happened to the missing angle the rest of the world seen?
